We’re going PURPLE this month! November is Epilepsy Awareness Month, and we are proudly wearing purple to support the amazing cause.
Of the 150,000 new cases of epilepsy diagnosed annually, approximately 50,000 cases will be diagnosed in children under the age of 18 (Epilepsy Foundation).
Epilepsy is a neurological condition that causes seizures of varying degrees. We treat lots of families here at CNCA affected by this, and so raising awareness is very near and dear to our hearts.
Proper awareness can help people to better recognize the signs of an epileptic seizure and help you to know what to do if you witness one. Greater awareness on a larger scale means more funds for research with the hope of finding newer and better treatments.
