For a man who started out studying biochemistry along with human computer interaction, it’s no wonder he settled on working with the brain for his ultimate career…
Dr. Jinfon Ong earned a degree in biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a master of science in human computer interaction from DePaul University in Chicago.
He received his medical degree from Rush University, and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Ong then conducted his fellowship training in child neurology at the University of Washington/Seattle Children’s Hospital.

In addition, Dr. Ong is a faculty member for the Child Neurology residency program at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas, and he acts as medical director for the local Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic.
When he’s not in his scrubs, Dr. Ong likes to change into beach gear and catch waves at Austin’s surf park.
