Congratulations are in order for Child Neurology Consultants’ Dr. Dilip Karnik. He has recently been named as a SuperDoctors Legacy Member to its Hall of Fame Doctor Circle for the 15th year in a row.
We’d say he’s not only leaving a legacy in terms of his tireless dedication to caring for children and educating other physicians who do so, but we’d venture to say he’s also somewhat of a legend around here!
Dr. Karnik was one of the first physicians to introduce pediatric neurology to Austin nearly 35 years ago.
In addition to treating patients at Child Neurology Consultants, he is director of pediatric neurology at the Starbright Rehabilitation Center, a group providing rehab services to brain-injured children. Dr. Karnik also serves as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Austin and medical director of UTAP, the University of Texas Autism Program, dedicated to researching treatment options for those on the autism spectrum. He is also the founder and chair of his namesake Karnik Institute.
Dr. Karnik is board-certified in psychiatry and neurology with a special qualification in child neurology. He also has a special interest in caring for children and teens with ADHD and Autism.
Dr. Karnik will be featured in the December 2020 issue of Texas Monthly magazine alongside others honored as Legacy Members of the Hall of Fame Doctor Circle.
Child Neurology Consultants of Austin has experience treating a wide range of neurological and rheumatic disorders in children and teenagers from 0 to 21 years old.
