Child Neurology Consultants of Austin is thrilled to welcome Dr. Sara Siddiqui to our practice family as a pediatric neurologist and epilepsy specialist. She expands our existing epilepsy subspecialty team who perform in-depth epilepsy evaluations and provide resources to improve seizure management, including offering patients access to ongoing research trials.
Dr. Siddiqui is quite familiar with Austin and the epilepsy community having recently fulfilled her fellowship training in pediatric epilepsy at The University of Texas at Austin-Dell Children’s Medical Center.
As an epileptologist, Dr. Siddiqui has a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric epilepsy and medically refractory epilepsy disorders. She has extensive clinical experience with pediatric EEG studies and also frequently works with patients suffering from general neurology disorders such as headaches, migraines, and tics.
“I am so excited to join Child Neurology Consultants and work alongside some of the true pioneers and first-ever pediatric neurologists to practice here in Central Texas,” says Dr. Siddiqui. “I also greatly look forward to improving the lives of the brave and bright young children who come to us for treatment, and whose stories inspire me every day to be a better doctor.”
When describing her approach to patient care, Dr. Siddiqui says she enjoys building compassionate relationships with each and every child she treats as well as their families.
Dr. Siddiqui received her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago in biological sciences, followed by her medical training at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. She completed a combined residency in pediatrics and pediatric neurology from the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Siddiqui loves to explore Austin parks and toddler-friendly places with her husband and son.
