True or false: Dr. Lindsay Elton suffered painful migraines as a child, just like so many of her current patients? True.
As one of Child Neurology Consultants of Austin’s specialists who treats migraines, Dr. Elton knows firsthand about what a debilitating experience they can be. Her personal knowledge of the condition provides her with a unique heartfelt approach to caring for these—and all– kiddos.
Dr. Elton is a graduate of the University of Kansas and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed her pediatric and child neurology residencies at the Children’s Hospital of Austin and UT Southwestern Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, respectively.
She serves as the associate program director of the child neurology training program at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
Additionally, Dr. Elton is the medical director for child neurology at the St. David’s North Austin Medical Center where she is currently working on infusion protocols for a rescue therapy to help keep kids out of the ER and hospitals. She is also initiating plans for a headache patient wellness group to be offered at the clinic later this fall, and she regularly attends meetings of the American Headache Society to stay abreast of the latest developments pertaining to kids and adolescents.
