MDA Clinic
Child Neurology Consultants of Austin, in partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association, is helping to improve the lives of children in Central Texas living with nerve or muscle disorders.
Our MDA Clinic offers comprehensive care for children with neuromuscular disorders such as muscular dystrophies, spinal muscular atrophy, congenital myopathies, and hereditary neuropathies (Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease).
MDA maintains a network of more than 200 specialized clinics. Our affiliation with this nationally recognized organization allows our patient families to benefit from MDA’s support services, advocacy, resources, and education.
Board-certified pediatric neuromuscular specialist Dr. Meeta Cardon is director for the MDA Clinic. Several other CNCA board-certified pediatric neurologists assist with the program, including Dr. Lindsay Elton and Dr. Michael Reardon.

What Sets Us Apart
Our compassion runs deep. Our physicians and nurses have organized this multidisciplinary clinic to serve our neuromuscular patients in a manner that rivals top academic centers across the country. For this, the MDA formally recognizes our practice.
Furthermore, every year, CNCA volunteers for MDA Summer Camp, a place where kids ages 6-18 years with neuromuscular disease can safely go on adventures while building self-confidence and independence. To find out more about the camp, contact the Central Texas division of the Muscular Dystrophy Association at (512) 691-0065.
